As a member youīll get the chance to submit art via the Bottle of Rum, and to take part of the yarringly cool competitions.
Anyone, not just the members are allowed to vote the competition winners. Vote by commenting the submission, other comments/favourites belong to the original artist!
Youīre free to chooce, wether you like to be a pirate in our ship, or an innocent villager. We ofcourse kick villagers ass ^^

Okay mateys, I am planning to do a collage of photos you take from yourself - dressed as a pirate! I will do the first pic of myself today, to make a start.
If you don't know HOW to dress, well just use your fantasy! An hawaiian shirt is helpful, also some kind of bandana for a cap. and for the rest, there is always eyeliner or lipstick or whatever to paint the missing pirate parts Its absolutely okay if you just smile in the cam, but it would be more fun if you do something the pirates done, so think about "What would the pirate look like in the situation" and the picture is getting more original! I hope you all participate! If you do, just put the pic in your gallery/scraps, send me the link via note and you're in!
What will I do with the pictures? Well, I will collage them to a bigger picture, that is called "The dA Piratey Crew" And of course I will give links to your userpage in the description too! Until I have enough pics to collage them, I will post the current submissions in the journal.
So show ye be a pirate and not some swashbucklin' landlubber, yarr!

Yeah, I'm planning a little comicstrip-series with little "smilie-pirates" (you will see the preparatory work I did yesterday as soon as I get to scan it), and you have to help me with two things: At first, I couldn't think of a name yet, but we will see that after I released the preparatory work. Second, if you have any ideas for funny little stories the pirates could experience, just send me a note! I would be very very glad about your help!!!
